SUSI
The Institute takes place at the University of Arizona and is focused on contemporary American life, as it is shaped by historical and/or current political, social, and economic issues and debates.
Students are provided with an overview of the foundations of democracy as they learn about the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, the federal system of government, elections, the court system, among other topics.
SUSIs are five-to-six-week academic programs designed for foreign undergraduate students aged 18-25 to improve their understanding of the U.S., and to develop their leadership skills.
It also provides opportunities to interact with American peers on a college campus. Each Institute includes approximately 20 participants from selected countries.
